I had this great idea that I was going to make my own bags to take to the grocery store. So I bought a lot of various fabrics for both the outside and the linings of the bags, yards of fusible fleece and interfacing for the inside lining, and many yards of handle webbing for the handles. When I added up the total, I think each bag would cost about $50 to make!<p></p><p>But being a crafter, why buy bags from the store that cost $1-$2 when you can make them for $50, right?</p><p>So this week I drew up a pattern and began working on my bags. I didn't want to make them too big or too small, and I fussed with the dimensions. All in all, I like the size that they turned out. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsSmyWZ_XAI9r2CEYtCzP04UoQp4GRZkalfC5zCiIlacyP92GMBXXsOYA9kWr3w3AEkXuMLBJVFQ-PDHNCMIpdlptI1YadwIL_cVJ1bIjnckjaKMAOa_zVFfylL79dQV6tHmjoz9robTksk7fIqI3LleCJZzxKv90eF2Dc25iYL5QiRlDze8k_lzeWQsg/s4000/20240308_114445.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4000" data-original-width="3000" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsSmyWZ_XAI9r2CEYtCzP04UoQp4GRZkalfC5zCiIlacyP92GMBXXsOYA9kWr3w3AEkXuMLBJVFQ-PDHNCMIpdlptI1YadwIL_cVJ1bIjnckjaKMAOa_zVFfylL79dQV6tHmjoz9robTksk7fIqI3LleCJZzxKv90eF2Dc25iYL5QiRlDze8k_lzeWQsg/w300-h400/20240308_114445.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>On this first bag, which is sort of a prototype, I didn't quilt either the bag or the lining. Although I like the overall look of it, it seems a bit flimsy to me, or I call it too loosey-goosey for a tote. <div><br /></div><div>So I went back to the sewing table and made another one, this time with a quilted top and inside.<div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCKZSG_0dKdMKdcEW5Wggz1lWwD-Z4ffTLIij-WXi-zFKMZYoxAg9By0n3RTpQbl98AjypYIwTvpTxeuZASBm37Z7Et32VegD0I32PlUqtL5QylWKcY_8namoWoMUphRlQxj1x-VSPnugRfUuxMIkuYIjHsCq_V530YppuG_tYXCObbf6EVOUEv0wpat0/s3129/20240308_121018.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3129" data-original-width="2408" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCKZSG_0dKdMKdcEW5Wggz1lWwD-Z4ffTLIij-WXi-zFKMZYoxAg9By0n3RTpQbl98AjypYIwTvpTxeuZASBm37Z7Et32VegD0I32PlUqtL5QylWKcY_8namoWoMUphRlQxj1x-VSPnugRfUuxMIkuYIjHsCq_V530YppuG_tYXCObbf6EVOUEv0wpat0/s320/20240308_121018.jpg" width="246" /></a></div>This bag turned out much stiffer and held its shape better, so I think I like this one with the quilting on it more than the first one.</div><div><br /></div><div>I wanted to add some buttons to the bag, so I picked out some old Stampin Up buttons. Luckily I have a few packs of those lying around and ready to be used on a project. </div><div><br /></div><div>For my next bag, I may add some pockets either to the outside or the inside to give it even more shape. I'm still working on the perfect pattern. :)</div><div><br /></div><div>While out on my travels I found some plastic canvas that I thought would be great for the bottom of the bag to keep it square. Now if I can just find where I put it, I'll add that to the inside, covered with the leftover fabric scraps.</div><div><br /></div><div>I'll keep you posted on the bag making project!</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2O9uG49IPbVN3MZv7eCT9uLGgmD4OtMHgRf04TchzMCjyi_TL_gFXggwdIv3ShayjXjWFh_HyGbrCiidFs3sTIO4eh38DLgRadsda-m0_Q5sCyEyyZAbwzEx8DPbE7SwU3H4aBz-HB_8u-k3mGqaOFhjRzmco09qjjemxzhmdYDLA4a1qf_p6v5-iuX8/s3922/20240308_121121.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3000" data-original-width="3922" height="306" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2O9uG49IPbVN3MZv7eCT9uLGgmD4OtMHgRf04TchzMCjyi_TL_gFXggwdIv3ShayjXjWFh_HyGbrCiidFs3sTIO4eh38DLgRadsda-m0_Q5sCyEyyZAbwzEx8DPbE7SwU3H4aBz-HB_8u-k3mGqaOFhjRzmco09qjjemxzhmdYDLA4a1qf_p6v5-iuX8/w400-h306/20240308_121121.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div><br /></div><div><br /><div><p><br /></p></div></div>Jacqueline Littshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04763579765438817841noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7948801310816495208.post-80907094206251494132024-03-11T13:23:00.000-07:002024-03-11T13:23:26.830-07:00Everyday Details<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHyssxOzaajzdTOKUXH3n9xnOeSO6AnB8LFhI8fAxX8oiaB11ICU7TlCHAQpOTuIY3DPeAADizuOV2vYizM5UrNjllD3UAHFXrmmuO4_Z6LRGtw2WB1q0u5MFjC4YnmlSw6qf_nObvNBewfF_8GqxjLe-C6HTJtllrppwkeCVtZaydl7r7V6gVQ6EZjVs/s3764/20240308_105048.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2841" data-original-width="3764" height="303" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHyssxOzaajzdTOKUXH3n9xnOeSO6AnB8LFhI8fAxX8oiaB11ICU7TlCHAQpOTuIY3DPeAADizuOV2vYizM5UrNjllD3UAHFXrmmuO4_Z6LRGtw2WB1q0u5MFjC4YnmlSw6qf_nObvNBewfF_8GqxjLe-C6HTJtllrppwkeCVtZaydl7r7V6gVQ6EZjVs/w400-h303/20240308_105048.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>This past week I made some cards using the stamp set, Everyday Details in the mini catalog. Originally I had wanted to use Everyday Details Dies for the first few cards that I had made, but somehow I misplaced that new die set.<p></p><p>Here is a card made using the rectangular cut out from that die set. This card has such a bright spring look to it. I think it can be used for pretty much anything. The Hello stamp is from the Garden Meadow set. This card is loosely based on a sample card from Jolanda Johnstone. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhO3GXEMeB9U_4__IOGXScy2wn-UTVwH53-NsKLR7DNa2C-rYqTTaLOnxFAL2EA9-7t5BB3SQjcKoSnvXD41zsKHgMYl7GU_PC8ago8DfOQCZLU1acj7Hup_CTqH7o2D0NEHzUCsM8KQCZbjtmk1y4Jj0kYeDyLtOowhXKvBAA02kusYaQ3I62OmBXT9E0/s2654/20240223_153854.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2074" data-original-width="2654" height="313" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhO3GXEMeB9U_4__IOGXScy2wn-UTVwH53-NsKLR7DNa2C-rYqTTaLOnxFAL2EA9-7t5BB3SQjcKoSnvXD41zsKHgMYl7GU_PC8ago8DfOQCZLU1acj7Hup_CTqH7o2D0NEHzUCsM8KQCZbjtmk1y4Jj0kYeDyLtOowhXKvBAA02kusYaQ3I62OmBXT9E0/w400-h313/20240223_153854.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>My final card (at least for today) is made using a portion of one of the designer papers. To highlight the saying, I made a small banner in Boho Blue and added the saying and a couple of the small flowers from Just My Type. There is also little doily behind the saying cut out from Fresh fresia cardstock. I finished it off with a double bow made with two different twines. <div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuknBfJt_toAmVq11w4BXSviEi2kB64BQFSKYcFFeussNJHZT5FpgPj1ZzX0HStAISHgoN1S52fR9jP-1mp7jf-blcoPmwj1YPRIlKczQiW4caOEVfDGisdxLjKJgCXHHGdy9eXbzFUcQdLNdd_uSf6uT7PLVkXvLSTyJva4yF8-0B5uroFeSuSMWzzLA/s3916/20240223_153845.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2132" data-original-width="3916" height="217" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuknBfJt_toAmVq11w4BXSviEi2kB64BQFSKYcFFeussNJHZT5FpgPj1ZzX0HStAISHgoN1S52fR9jP-1mp7jf-blcoPmwj1YPRIlKczQiW4caOEVfDGisdxLjKJgCXHHGdy9eXbzFUcQdLNdd_uSf6uT7PLVkXvLSTyJva4yF8-0B5uroFeSuSMWzzLA/w400-h217/20240223_153845.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>Definitely spring looking, I love these two cards. :)<br /><div><br /><p><br /> </p></div>Jacqueline Littshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04763579765438817841noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7948801310816495208.post-22080213891539955992024-02-24T13:29:00.000-08:002024-02-24T13:29:02.191-08:00Loving the Birds!<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHCVodQvZRDeFXPl2PvsmPrNvGv4S-pjUYoo1h76RAO_iuEAMTQ5vWMc2_Me5YszJ-whJGzPN8cv-g3tdjq42laIh9kZAdA57WXhzaNf9BE1_FKlk2_5lgMCthAm1jzoZ9ESI9SLp5dAJKqWtH1KznCRMtv3hyphenhyphenyqLa0slQX8x2GY-XeIpiimV-Xe0aJ9g/s3222/20240223_153600.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3222" data-original-width="2846" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHCVodQvZRDeFXPl2PvsmPrNvGv4S-pjUYoo1h76RAO_iuEAMTQ5vWMc2_Me5YszJ-whJGzPN8cv-g3tdjq42laIh9kZAdA57WXhzaNf9BE1_FKlk2_5lgMCthAm1jzoZ9ESI9SLp5dAJKqWtH1KznCRMtv3hyphenhyphenyqLa0slQX8x2GY-XeIpiimV-Xe0aJ9g/w354-h400/20240223_153600.jpg" width="354" /></a></div>This week I had a chance to use some of the Sale-a-Bration papers called Flight and Airy. Then I added two strips in the center and sewed them to the batting and background fabric. <div><br /></div><div>So this table runner is made with a quilt-as-you-go method. After you add the first few strips, you can then add fabric strips to both sides which takes less time to complete the project.</div><div><br /></div><div>I decided that I wanted to make it look more like patchwork than just adding strips, so I sewed some of the strips together and strategically placed them the way I wanted them to look.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYRNcm5KzJhEvBlAKsObbbvrTSLRdSKR90ogs6bkjtDVtZfpFVhhJE0KviP0r-JUr7GiOziYFJ7MeCE4bWZ4G5a3y8F_OgDH0W8BFMe2BcCmnkYbEyGkeqJ15_4IhQjr5PAc7wfforOvhy2IAW0Xoq3IlrcoDc1uykemBx1tB0jVf0IEWpbmS8M9V1I10/s4000/20240218_103347.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3000" data-original-width="4000" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYRNcm5KzJhEvBlAKsObbbvrTSLRdSKR90ogs6bkjtDVtZfpFVhhJE0KviP0r-JUr7GiOziYFJ7MeCE4bWZ4G5a3y8F_OgDH0W8BFMe2BcCmnkYbEyGkeqJ15_4IhQjr5PAc7wfforOvhy2IAW0Xoq3IlrcoDc1uykemBx1tB0jVf0IEWpbmS8M9V1I10/s320/20240218_103347.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>I've made this quilt-as-you-go method before, and the last time I sewed additional quilting lines on the finished piece, but this time didn't. If you turn the runner over, you will see the quilting lines on the back, so there's no need to quilt it more unless that is the look that you're going for.<div><br /></div><div>The idea came from Sharon Holland and if you want to read her blog and see the colorful runner that she made, just click <a href="https://www.sharonhollanddesigns.com/blog/table-scraps">here.</a> I used 2" strips for my runner but you could also use a jelly roll with 2 1/2" strips. It took a couple of hours to make. </div><div><br /></div><div>I'm happy with how it turned out. The table in the dining room now looks "dressed" properly. :)</div><div><br /></div><div>There's a pile of 2" strips left over from this runner, and now I'm thinking that I might make something else out of them. It's hard to tell by from the photo, but just about every flower and embellishment on my quilt has been cut our of another fabric and ironed onto my wall hanging.<div><br /></div><div>After I ironed down all of the pieces, I quilted it in straight lines about half of an inch apart to finish it. They are from a specific fabric line so you know that they all coordinate together. When I get home I sew together the blocks and set them aside for a future project.<p></p><p>Then when it's time to make something, they're all ready to go! For this project I made my patchwork squares in to a fabric basket. I used pretty fabrics from my Corey Yoder collection to finish the basket. I usually put felt on the inside of the front layers and interfacing on the lining pieces. This helps the basket to stand on its own but doesn't make it too stiff.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsdml1bs8ZtJWSsizbhgYOPsgPtJ-C0edMLKENfoWGJqvow6wn7XdNn-Ib4aEa3k_BF5eeDrvPq1CDyg1OdrQxWwNxCPMN9Pb5RjaY82JPDrQDh152cqm5gEFbCwB_2wp_BI-QeQf3q8WEtqZheQuAhjKyV9PvG-Rwdyr_C-1fTsSQ0jvMgAmzv02Ba4s/s2980/20231215_102633.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2242" data-original-width="2980" height="301" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsdml1bs8ZtJWSsizbhgYOPsgPtJ-C0edMLKENfoWGJqvow6wn7XdNn-Ib4aEa3k_BF5eeDrvPq1CDyg1OdrQxWwNxCPMN9Pb5RjaY82JPDrQDh152cqm5gEFbCwB_2wp_BI-QeQf3q8WEtqZheQuAhjKyV9PvG-Rwdyr_C-1fTsSQ0jvMgAmzv02Ba4s/w400-h301/20231215_102633.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>Here is another one that I put together. I chose the collection of products, Winter Meadow. I used Smokey Slate gray for the cardstock and added some shimmery papers from the Snowflake Magic specialty papers. They have such a beautiful shine to them.<p></p><p>The stamp set Magical Meadow is the focal point to the card. I stamped the berry image a few times in Pacific Point and then cut them out and added them to the branch image. The cut outs for this set are amazing, definitely a staple in paper crafting. I cut them out of shiny silver paper and the whole card has a snowy, glittery winter look to it, just what I was hoping for. </p><p>The idea for this card is from Sharon Hensen. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhTMezLk7c8lCitJZrm85MuQu_XPVW_P0-XCz7Yh8xc6h5-YZF-y1obbiNrDd5K9sUbrUuGYaVIztjYy56sI74D-kT6oos7G6uc3zueG_OKf0jsdvqSfpTf_wIurHm7PAOakQQdWSrBtnQzquc-_DEs14Z6MezfNnMRo5WrbtvuwrFvJyEVYmMIZ6yUVo/s3170/20240120_114653.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3170" data-original-width="2633" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhTMezLk7c8lCitJZrm85MuQu_XPVW_P0-XCz7Yh8xc6h5-YZF-y1obbiNrDd5K9sUbrUuGYaVIztjYy56sI74D-kT6oos7G6uc3zueG_OKf0jsdvqSfpTf_wIurHm7PAOakQQdWSrBtnQzquc-_DEs14Z6MezfNnMRo5WrbtvuwrFvJyEVYmMIZ6yUVo/w333-h400/20240120_114653.jpg" width="333" /></a></div><br /><p>Card #2 has Misty Moonlight for the base. I gathered up all of my Christmas trees (sadly, I have gotten rid of quite a few) and put four of them all together in the family room.</p><p>I chose a gold and soft-color theme for the decor and decorated my trees accordingly. I love the look of the Christmas tree forest. :)</p><p>I had to look around for some wrapping paper that wasn't red or green and found some soft colors of teal and pink in Marshalls, my favorite place to shop for decor items. </p><p>I put strands of gold beads on the 2 smaller trees and love how they all turned out. </p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMLAbDIB3NMeot3wcYJokn3VlZGnBOaQ2_-XOHEbYCOj0HNpHJm0aO7VHHqPw2W1l8aCiBWR2ppJtg6BVD73WJLSKNZOaA-gTXjry1l3vyNNthmBX3mUAMwWcC1SPqojBQf0SgvZZTgDDFqrYM7rzg7oY7UTLb7E98aBS2CKYN_obCOBX739W-n8brtb0/s1525/IMG_0447.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1525" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMLAbDIB3NMeot3wcYJokn3VlZGnBOaQ2_-XOHEbYCOj0HNpHJm0aO7VHHqPw2W1l8aCiBWR2ppJtg6BVD73WJLSKNZOaA-gTXjry1l3vyNNthmBX3mUAMwWcC1SPqojBQf0SgvZZTgDDFqrYM7rzg7oY7UTLb7E98aBS2CKYN_obCOBX739W-n8brtb0/s320/IMG_0447.jpg" width="252" /></a></div>Here's a cute pic of me while I was decorating my trees. They looked very pretty all lit up at night. I used a lacy tablecloth for a tree skirt and liked the look of that along side some muted skirts.<div><br /></div><div>When I am sitting in my comfy chair, I can see the forest in the painting through the decorated trees, too. I loved the look of it all. </div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVBxeFDpTYepdJF66CvR4FZ2MFcQHqstgTJ1cnYBOW7IoN97ZHPz-8EGLolP14M2V3Afy_M96mKC_iLwuBMADMwrsRwsNZ8Ylp_-5i4KpFr-GxeCKAn3NqNKlzA6ys7hkEOxnV3czRKm2wEwBC1SjBCQiVrgcrF3eUQF_2Votm6lMwBBPy3DNDk3RxqI0/s4000/20231221_114721%20(1).jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3000" data-original-width="4000" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVBxeFDpTYepdJF66CvR4FZ2MFcQHqstgTJ1cnYBOW7IoN97ZHPz-8EGLolP14M2V3Afy_M96mKC_iLwuBMADMwrsRwsNZ8Ylp_-5i4KpFr-GxeCKAn3NqNKlzA6ys7hkEOxnV3czRKm2wEwBC1SjBCQiVrgcrF3eUQF_2Votm6lMwBBPy3DNDk3RxqI0/s320/20231221_114721%20(1).jpg" width="320" /></a></div>Here's a closer image of what it looks like. There's lots of gold bulbs on the trees to make them look cohesive.<div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinUXqsylONRWoDZFhGB1o0PhbZPWp5z_8jLOHdWrs5EeiZMPkUiJvYYLlPxc1Hr3rzlw6PChHhf7jAskSIGUPaWhjUrOSo69WoC_u7MJ52xP5yhnigN_n7gnQlLqcrL8HPBScjrFKuYkvf1z96QyskAftvtEe91tm106SmG9WpuMz8v_Dv2JOWoSCSIjo/s4000/20231218_101210.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4000" data-original-width="3000" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinUXqsylONRWoDZFhGB1o0PhbZPWp5z_8jLOHdWrs5EeiZMPkUiJvYYLlPxc1Hr3rzlw6PChHhf7jAskSIGUPaWhjUrOSo69WoC_u7MJ52xP5yhnigN_n7gnQlLqcrL8HPBScjrFKuYkvf1z96QyskAftvtEe91tm106SmG9WpuMz8v_Dv2JOWoSCSIjo/s320/20231218_101210.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><br /><div>One morning While I was having my cup of tea, I slid a table in front of the trees and took this pic. For this card, I used a strip of the designer papers and added a focal point circle cut from the papers framed with a gold scalloped edge. <br /><br /><div>I die cut the nativity images in white and gold embossed the saying (from an older set). I added a gold star and some of the pretty blue ribbon that came in the suite. The card idea is from Mary Brautigam.<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQA6kr9VFp0y322x2PGuAx82D73FvcF9tRhkeLCOs_696EGSPZhBsOY_ikn6PGS6XEQfQ6uZ3PQ0kdwolFQ17lZBQ3GXpu2wQgFz8eiObQjXW1QqCrRjZnOnODWT0P64e76h6RKA_60L4GG7-aSiUgaR6zF106eqsN-iVoT1_IqP8Q0UnS50K4raYUTfc/s3309/20231211_143046.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3309" data-original-width="2938" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQA6kr9VFp0y322x2PGuAx82D73FvcF9tRhkeLCOs_696EGSPZhBsOY_ikn6PGS6XEQfQ6uZ3PQ0kdwolFQ17lZBQ3GXpu2wQgFz8eiObQjXW1QqCrRjZnOnODWT0P64e76h6RKA_60L4GG7-aSiUgaR6zF106eqsN-iVoT1_IqP8Q0UnS50K4raYUTfc/w284-h320/20231211_143046.jpg" width="284" /></a></div><p>Here is what the inside of the card looks like. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiPoY_6my3FwiLcCAnz0Q0RVKgJUyYnrk6W7YOiVa3xKSUD7zYtdjz3ThGosnL2jSPvgal7mVFP0jvb_ykXeqaCnuQka6weQxmOOaNPVZTm1zYUNtSQDMK_OgjxMpQzkSi9pN7vY6U-fPS8R-huPEZEttgyqeQ5lvGgaxTTG9yFPIgopsPBHtgeIAxEPw/s3374/20231211_143109.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3374" data-original-width="2910" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiPoY_6my3FwiLcCAnz0Q0RVKgJUyYnrk6W7YOiVa3xKSUD7zYtdjz3ThGosnL2jSPvgal7mVFP0jvb_ykXeqaCnuQka6weQxmOOaNPVZTm1zYUNtSQDMK_OgjxMpQzkSi9pN7vY6U-fPS8R-huPEZEttgyqeQ5lvGgaxTTG9yFPIgopsPBHtgeIAxEPw/w345-h400/20231211_143109.jpg" width="345" /></a></div>For my next card, I used completely different colors. Because of the broken foot situation, I'm way behind on my cards and classes.<p></p><p>For this set of cards I used the 2 stamp sets in the Joy of Christmas collection. My first card is copied from Katie Drew and I just love the soft green colors. I paired my cards this week with the Winter Meadow designer papers love the soft muted look to them.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNJTCeniym8Xa42mk0o69tQJF7NzTtMI4bjhFBCog0G0NUXGECKR1kjelhrsqp-2PkuvxgsiixXKEWR9Xg4izYB8BUHe8HF7BjhevRZoRXg_pL-6QHRuyruwEQ84MLQUv8_v06W2yieg3jgeEljP2DfhG7n604MbWoumT3SQ0L4Ej1sSWURjXCmMK9tSY/s3713/20231110_101902.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3713" data-original-width="2852" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNJTCeniym8Xa42mk0o69tQJF7NzTtMI4bjhFBCog0G0NUXGECKR1kjelhrsqp-2PkuvxgsiixXKEWR9Xg4izYB8BUHe8HF7BjhevRZoRXg_pL-6QHRuyruwEQ84MLQUv8_v06W2yieg3jgeEljP2DfhG7n604MbWoumT3SQ0L4Ej1sSWURjXCmMK9tSY/w308-h400/20231110_101902.jpg" width="308" /></a></div>Card #2 uses a larger sprig stamp from the Joy of Noel stamp set. I colored the leaves and berries with Stamping blends and added a Pool Party focal circle. The banners are 2" strips of paper from the Winter Meadow papers. I used the designer paper as the highlight for this card. I trimmed off part of the front of the card so that you can see the paper peeking through. I stamped the snowflakes for the front panel and then added the bears to the focal point. <p></p><p>I added some very light snowflakes using a grunge stamp to the background to help the polar bears stand out. I got the idea for this card from Pinterest but can't find the demonstrator's name. For our bags today, we used 5 strips across but you can use any amount that you'd like. <p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiucw50DgTMoh1WcN9qJluAt3q_nhc2dvMx1opNuHv-wspTFTmy5J1GZ-5-6UEprfN4oTKtrJRe-15yMZy_8_gEaEnSevp8ngknkgHHY_dp4tLgCySfYRaJjwgq9_9g8pGGQGeWBEIqzQ_S0-QALa_cGzjRqwJRYBkdUQzlDgPGi6w8v417vFSC_wyLMs8/s3000/20231110_140918.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2378" data-original-width="3000" height="318" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiucw50DgTMoh1WcN9qJluAt3q_nhc2dvMx1opNuHv-wspTFTmy5J1GZ-5-6UEprfN4oTKtrJRe-15yMZy_8_gEaEnSevp8ngknkgHHY_dp4tLgCySfYRaJjwgq9_9g8pGGQGeWBEIqzQ_S0-QALa_cGzjRqwJRYBkdUQzlDgPGi6w8v417vFSC_wyLMs8/w400-h318/20231110_140918.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>You quilt it with batting and backing and then put the zipper in at the top of the bag. This is how mine turned out before I added the embellishments. I made a couple of yo-yo flowers and added a tassel to the zipper pull. <div><br /></div><div>I am going to put together a tutorial on how to make this bag, hopefully this weekend. For Halloween this year, my g-baby will be dressing up like a pumpkin and I wanted to send her a fun Halloween card.<p></p><p>For this card, I used Copper Clay for the background cardstock and added some All About Autumn designer papers to it. These papers have been out of stock for a while and I wish that had ordered more at the beginning of the season! I just love them so much. </p><p>I added the little Pumpkin girl, colored her in using Stamping Blends and Wink of Stella to make her shine. They are so rich in color and so pretty featuring beautiful photos and gold-trimmed papers. For this first card, I copied the idea from Mary Knabe. I like the way the designer paper is sliced for the look of this card. I added some rainbow trim die cuts in gold to add a bit more pizazz to the card. I used gold sequin ribbon for the bow.<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqCjhDysUL-L7gsCTpwzvA9IOeL5eAqR2i-G7jQBpIfWRYRTwlNAMwoehyVEzY8jd-BSlTQADjWQLJ1_OHXhSpNYzbJi7DLtwcrsZ-E7VRbK_kDt6sYeDscueSaoGbhVQ7PiawFsb5coykSm2SG17Di8p-Bg2Uelp16eOnf29Vkhc4gTWpP-g_troGEhU/s2793/20230919_111354.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2200" data-original-width="2793" height="315" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqCjhDysUL-L7gsCTpwzvA9IOeL5eAqR2i-G7jQBpIfWRYRTwlNAMwoehyVEzY8jd-BSlTQADjWQLJ1_OHXhSpNYzbJi7DLtwcrsZ-E7VRbK_kDt6sYeDscueSaoGbhVQ7PiawFsb5coykSm2SG17Di8p-Bg2Uelp16eOnf29Vkhc4gTWpP-g_troGEhU/w400-h315/20230919_111354.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><p>For the second card, I copied the idea from Mary Witt from Pinterest. I want to give this card to a friend of mine who lends me books to read. :) I got this idea from Susan Molly.<div><br /></div><div>When I ordered this paper, I didn't notice that it comes in 6" squares, so not enough paper to present an entire class. I love going there because she has lots of embellishments to add to the projects. <p></p><p>For this little paddle, I added the bird using a Chalk Couture screen and brown paint. I thought that he needed some color so I sponged in some color with Stampin Up ink and blending brushes. I love the little hint of color that he has.</p><p>Then I added some soft-colored flowers, lace and sprigs to complete the look. There are pearls and some berry sprigs if you look closely - all on top of a burlap bow. They are a panel that I bought a couple of years ago called Woof, Woof, Meow cat panel by Stacy Iest Hsu. There is another adult cat that I still have to make. The set comes with the 4 kittens. <p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghgN0L8E7JHDEPPG29XsBRVhbuv53GOJm2WnKGf3aRdyVvy4f80H_dwtpNMwQZJRkcc5IsygpbTRjO5T2oEIMdfjWPQ5Al1A88LuF4jRUzyHH8JXI_ytjR_KlKvwDsyx9RkopbBy4UeKVhHP81op1yLyc8GKPR12LE2EANWtKswpVrrXqmiGCFba9vCE0/s3811/20230908_114750.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3811" data-original-width="3000" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghgN0L8E7JHDEPPG29XsBRVhbuv53GOJm2WnKGf3aRdyVvy4f80H_dwtpNMwQZJRkcc5IsygpbTRjO5T2oEIMdfjWPQ5Al1A88LuF4jRUzyHH8JXI_ytjR_KlKvwDsyx9RkopbBy4UeKVhHP81op1yLyc8GKPR12LE2EANWtKswpVrrXqmiGCFba9vCE0/w315-h400/20230908_114750.jpg" width="315" /></a></div>I started making these kitties a year ago or so (ha ha) and found them in my sewing room. Today I put together a small quilt for them to cuddle up with and hope to set them out for my granddaughter to play with.<div><br /></div><div>I have a puppy dog panel and a second kitty panel to still complete. I'm hoping by the time that I'm done that the whole basket is filled with cats and dogs galore!</div><div><br /></div><div>The adult cats have a pouch to put the kittens in, but I think it needs extra fabric and a dart to make the pouch fit any of the babies. You can see in the photo that the pouch is very tight. </div><div><br /></div><div>I will try something different for the next adult cat. We'll see how it comes out.</div><div><br /></div><div>I'll keep you posted on the progress. </div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>\</div><div>What do you think of the kitty family?
