Spring Cards

I have to admit, sometimes I buy more stamp sets than I actually use.  (!)  Then something new comes along and I have to get that.  This card is made from the set Grace's Garden that I bought last year.  I've been wanting to use it and finally got the chance this week.

Here is what the card looks like from both the front and inside views.  The photos seem a bit washed out; the actually cards are so much nicer looking.  

I love the little kitty and the bird in the set.  They make this card so much fun.  

I got the idea for the card from last year's Spring catalog when the stamp set first debuted.  I used the Brick and Mortar embossing folder to make it look like a there's a garden behind a lovely brick wall. I sponged the raised bricks with white craft ink to make them stand out.  I love the look of this.  At some point I want to try putting some animals or people behind the gate - maybe the donkeys or a lady of some sort.  

The card took over an hour to make so this card will only go out to someone who is "card worthy" and can appreciate it and the time that went into making it.  If you make cards, you know what I mean.  :)

Next up I finally got to use the stamp kit, Boho Indigo.  I've had this for almost a year, also.  I wanted this set so that I could make this card all in blue and use the saying, "Sorry you're feeling blue."  It's simple to make and has a slight whimsical touch to it.  And don't we all feel a little "blue" from time to time?  I got the idea from Kylie Bertucci on Pinterest.

Here's another card using the Boho Indigo set.  I cut out more pots from the die cuts and added them to my card.  To me this card has a slight modern feel to it.  I used the ombre papers from Sale-a-Bration.  This idea came from Andrea Sargent.  

Last up is a card made from the Basket of Blooms set.  I found some Succulent papers that retired a couple of years ago on my desk and thought they would look so pretty with this card.  And I think they do!  Easy and fun to put together.  The layout is from Patty Bennett.  

Which spring card do you like the best?  The ladies that come to my class had a hard time deciding.  LOL
