When I first looked through the Mini Catalog for the holiday season this year, the first set that I fell in love with was the Yeti! He's whimsical, silly and totally different from anything that I've stamped before. I just knew that I had to have him. :)
For this card, I used the Charming Landscapes embossing folder for the white background. Then I added some trees from In the Pines stamp set. I used some different colored greens for the trees on one of the cards. I stamped the Yeti and outlined him in gray on the inside of the lines using the Stamping Blend marker. Then I cut out the drink and present.
If you look closely, you can see that I cut out his paws so that it would like he was holding the cup. To do that, I put a hole in Mr. Yeti in front of his paw (where the cup will cover) and cut out his fingers. I got the idea for this card from Meaghan Trainer on Pinterest. Don't you love the saying, Is it Christmas Yeti? Seriously, he's as cute as can be.
For this card, I used some darker designer paper for the background. I added the snow-covered mountains in the background and stamped a little bird that is his friend. This time I just added the mug on the top of his hand to make the card easier and quicker to make. I feel like he is letting us get a glimpse of his wintery-wonderland that he calls home. I was having way too much fun making these cards!
Here is the same card, but with a different saying. And in this card, Mr. Yeti has on a scarf so that he can stay warm. I got the idea for this card from Angie Juda.
What do you think of the Mr. Yeti? Fun, he's so much fun. :)
