Glamping Thanks

This week I made some "glamping" thank you cards to give to my friends that helped me with my camper.  I used the Glamper Greetings set that I've had for some time now and I had a lot of fun with using the sweet images.  I mean, look - there's even a little flamingo by my camper!

The striped paper is from the Succulent series and I think it added some pizzazz to my cards!
And my camper has red and white striped curtains on the inside, so it goes along with my theme.

I've been having so much fun this summer camping in my little Retro.   I'm grateful for such good friends that help me and those that camp with me.  It's the highlight of my summer!

Taking Out My Vintage Camper

Last weekend I went camping in my little vintage trailer and I was so happy to set it all up using some of the pretty things that I had made last year.  Here is what it looks like on the inside and I've put out one of the little table toppers in the seating area.

Here is what it looks like close up.  If you'd like to see it in the original post when I first made it, click here

Looking the other direction, you can also see the vintage throw that I made to bring with me.  I like using reds and teal colors when I make things for the camper.

I used Bonnie & Camille's Vintage Holiday fabrics for this quilt.  Here's the original post with more info here.

Outside of the camper, I have red chairs to match and cute little teal colored tables that I picked up at Target.  One of my friends gave the pitcher and glasses to me for camping.  They look so fancy, but they're made from plastic so they don't break.

My next goal, to camp at a site with electricity and bring some sewing.  :)

More Forever Fern

I saw a sample last week on mystampgarden blog and although I used slightly different colors, I branched out from the usual greens and made this card with the Forever Fern stamp set.  I had some pineapple paper from the Tropical Oasis paper pack and I just love how it looks on this card!  I used Gorgeous Grape, an older color and Crushed Curry for this card.  So different; I just love it. :)

While I was looking through the pretty designer papers that come with the Forever Greenery suite, I took this one.  It kind of reminded me of walking through the forest.  So I added the moose and a little saying to the top of the card.  I don't make a lot of masculine cards, but his one is very masculine!  Doesn't that moose look like he's wandering through the trees in a forest?  It's kind of silly, but somehow I like how it turned out.  :)

Forever Fern

Last week I made 4 beautiful cards using the Forever Fern stamp set and it's coordinating designer papers.  They looked so amazing in the catalog, but they're even nicer in person.  :)

For my first card, I inked up one of my acrylic stamps like Karen Kwenzakovic did on her blog, spritzed it with some water and then added some of the fern images.  It's a little different from my usual stamping look, but I really like how it turned out.  I used 4 greens, starting with the lightest one and continuing using a darker green each time until I covered the block.

For the next card, I used the designer paper, and then added a rectangle using the Stitched So Sweetly dies.  I got the idea for this card from mystampgarden blog.  If you notice in the photos, I used two different sides of the designer papers and although different, I love the look of each of them.

I'm usually a white-on-white card making girl, but in this case, I love how it turned out.  I used the new thin Greenery embossing folders and love the soft look of them.  I got the idea from Patsy Waggoner on Pinterest.

And lastly, I wanted to use the Ferns in a different color.  You don't have to always use greens for this set.  I copied the idea for this card from Karen Henderson and I just love the purples mixed with the navy blue and Coastal Cabana colors.

Seriously, I could use this stamp set all day!
