One of the things that I love to do is to decorate my home with handmade things, especially quilted or sewn items. I have some sort of quilted piece in every room of the house!
I have to say that I sorely miss Joann Fabrics in my town. At just eight minutes from my house, Joann's was always a place to go for a little bit of inspiration. Sometimes I just want to buy fabrics for making crafts or simple items with and now we really don't have much to choose from around here. :(
So I drove to Hobby Lobby to see what their fabric selection was like. An honestly, it wasn't too bad. They don't have all of the extras like Joann's did, but I found a pretty flowered fabric that I thought would brighten up my room. I had picked up some larger pillows and wanted to make some pillowcases to fit them.
I love the colors and how they bring out the corals that are already there. So then I went back and bought four more yards of the fabric. I'm not sure yet what I'm going to make with it, but it was just so pretty that I couldn't refuse. LOL
I like the look. I think it may need some sort of a flowered quilt to match. What do you think?
