Easter Bunny Wreath

I was looking on Pinterest the other day for some ideas on how to decorate for Easter.  I could spend hours on there!  I came across this great blog to make a bunny in a wreath: Bunny in Wreath.  Check it out!  She has some great ideas!

Needless to say, I tried to decorate with items that are free or very cheap!  I got a grapevine wreath and some moss from the craft store and added a nest and eggs and a little bunny.  Not quite what the Bunny at Sutton Place looks like, but I guess it does have some charm to it!

What kind of Easter decorations do you have displayed?

Three New Cards

Every month I hold rubber stamping classes in my home.  Last month we made these three cards.  I love them all, but I think this yellow card outshines them all!

I love all of the new embossing folders that Stampin' Up has.  You can't see it in this card, but the top on this one is embossed with clouds!

I would like to make some more of these cards with some different sayings.  Just change the saying, the color of the flower and the designer papers that are cut into hexagons and I think it makes a great masculine card!  It's so trendy too!

Design ideas are taken from the Stampin' Up spring catalog and from Vicki Burdick.

Happy Easter Basket

I was trying to come with an easy Easter craft to put on the table this weekend as a little favor for my family members for Easter.  I saw this little box online and added a cute little bunny to it. Here is the link if you would like the instructions: Easter basket.

After I took the photo I realized that the Easter grass and candies were missing!  I wonder what little "bunny" had come in and snitched them!

"Springy" Colored Cards

I had a chance to make a couple of cards this week.  I got a new Sizzix die that makes these perfect-looking 3-D flowers! I have to say that I had a lot of fun making these.  Don't you just love the colors in this card?  They seemed so soft and "spring-looking" to me!

I love the soft blue flowers in this card with the tan background.  I stamped one of my new flower images onto the blue paper with white ink and embossing powders.  Then cut them out and made them three-dimensional.  I always love brown accents on my cards.  Both of these designs ideas came from Vicki Burdick.

Even though we had a snow storm this week (in last March!) adding these spring colors and Easter decor made it feel like spring at least indoor!

The Bunnies are Multiplying Fast!

With Easter coming I wanted to put out some spring-looking decorations.  After picking through my boxes I was amazed at how little Easter decor that I had!  So I made a trip to Michael's and then to the Dollar Store.  I picked out some pastel colored flowers and put them on the fireplace.

I chose purple and even though you can't see them very well, some salmon-colored and then off-white flowers.  What I decided that what the bouquet needed was a bunny.  So I went to my sewing room and came up with this.  What I didn't realize was how fast he was going to reproduce!

Then some started to appear on the table!  I think my favorite one was the one that I made from a felt square shown here in the cream color.  I set them in some budding sprigs that I had found at a garage sale last year.  I added a couple of candle holders and even made some little purple hearts to add to the mix.  I bought the misty colored eggs at Michaels.

Then a few appeared on the mantle!  They are sitting with a little Bunnies By the Bay rabbit that I also previously found at a garage sale.  They are in bowls, climbing on the candle holder and hopping around the kitchen, too!

I guess what they say about bunnies is true.  They sure do multiply fast!

Cute Baby Shower Centerpiece!

At a Baby Shower yesterday my roommate saw these cute table centerpieces made from cookies.  They really brightened up the tables.  Aren't they so cute?

Our friend Cheryl designed them.  Made from cupcake holders and cookies, the "baby flowers" are nestled in a silk plant with lots of pretty colored crepe paper to make them look so festive. The cookies are decorated with small candies to look like eyes and a pacifier.  And of course, they are edible!  I love the creativity of this!

Life is a Matter of Moments

I was playing around with some vintage stamps and some new papers that have a antique look to them.  I came up with this frame that has the saying, "Life is a Matter of Moments."  I think it needs a little work so hopefully I can find the time to make some more improvements!
