End of Summer Cards

For the most part, I'm not one to be making Christmas cards and projects in July or August.  I have a hard time jumping ahead on the holidays!  So this week I came up with some end-of-summer cards for my family and for my card class.  This card uses the Seaside View and I made it for my son who just moved to FL.  He loves the warm days and the ocean.  :)  I got the idea from Carole's Creative Corner.

The pineapple card reminds me of sipping pina coladas at the beach.  I saw the white card on Pinterest from a stamper in Germany and I thought it needed some more color. So I added the Petal Pink to the background.  I used the coastal weave embossing folder and the In the Tropics set.

Next up was the "fan favorite" card for this class.  It features the Seaside Notions and also the Tasteful Textures die cuts.  I sincerely love this card.  It was copied from last year's Stampin Up catalog.

Last up is a soft watercolor card.  Doesn't it make you think of a relaxing day at the beach?  I watercolored the background and then added the shells.  I think you can hear the ocean if you hold up the conch shell.  :)  I saw this idea from Debra Couglan.  Even the ribbon looks a bit like driftwood.  If you use your imagination.
