More Needlepoint Nook

Here is another card made with the Needlepoint Nook stamp set.  I got the idea for this card from Chris Smith on facebook.  It's hard to tell in the photo, but I embossed the background with the stitched thinlit.

The bottom scallop is one of the cut-outs from the Nook suite.  I added the stitching along the bottom with a blue marker.  I love how the cut out reveals the pretty blue stitched paper along the bottom.

While I was working on these cards, I thought that it would make a nice Sympathy card, also.  Although I didn't actually do any stitching, I had a lovely afternoon in the Needlepoint Nook of my craft room.  :)

Needlepoint Nook

There's a pretty stamp set in the Stampin Up Occasions catalog called Needlepoint Nook.  It has sweet designer paper and images in it that all pertain to embroidery.  This week I had some time to take it out and just loved making some cards with it.

The paper has pretty embroidery colors and imagery.  There's a framelit that cuts little dots onto your paper to look like you stitched it.  I used it on this card for the background.  I love the flowers and sayings, too.

There's a little stitched butterfly that just completes the card.  I had a lot of little wooden pieces left over from the Sale-a-bration wood cut outs, so I put some on each of my cards.

For the next look, I decided to put the tea cup on the card instead of the flowers.  I do enjoy a cup of tea in the afternoons.  The tea cup makes the card look a bit more feminine.

Here's a Get Well card that I love, too.  I colored in the tea cups with the Stamping Blends.  They are alcohol based and I love using them because they don't make the paper all wet.  And they blend well.

The little saying, "Love is a warm cup of Tea" fits so nicely right on the tea cup.

I got the idea for the tea cup from one of my stamping friends on facebook.
