Thanksgiving Bowl Fillers

When I was at Hobby Lobby last week, I found some cute fabric with little Thanksgiving sayings on it.  So of course I bought it.  I love to make little things.

I cut out the sayings and sewed them into little bowl decor pillows.  They can also be used as pin cushions.

When cutting, I had to give up every other row, because of adding in seam allowance, but I am happy with what I got from my piece of fabric.

I love the little sayings, the colors and especially the ones with pumpkins on them

What am I going to do with them?  I might leave them in a basket for decor, give them away to people or put them in my dining room "shop."

I made 11 in total and there's still some panels left on the fabric to work with.

They're so cute, right?  I love having them around for my fall decor.  I might put them on the table for my Friendsgiving parties as little favors.  So I might need to make a few more.  :)

What do you think of them?  Would you put them out as fall and Thanksgiving decor?

Fall Craft Fair

Here is another card that I made using the Thankful Forest Friends stamp sets.  Isn't the little bear so cute?  I love having him standing amongst the birch trees.  I embossed them and then sponged them with Soft Suede ink to make them stand out.  I love the colors of this fall card, too.  I saw the idea for this by Jari Francis on my favorite website, Pinterest.

I was in a craft fair a few weeks ago and brought some of my crafts with me to sell.  Here are more of the mini tote bags that I made.  I loved making them.  Next time I'd like to try making them a little smaller in Christmas colors to hang on the tree.

Fun with the fall magnets:

Seeing my friends, meeting new people, and of course, selling my items is what makes craft fairs a lot of fun!

Did you find any new crafts or ideas that you liked at craft fairs this year?

Mini Totes and More

A few years ago I saw the idea to make little tote bags in one of my Quilts and More crafting magazines.  While I was over at Walmart and "just walking by" the craft section, I spotted some beautiful fall fabric.  Of course, I had to stop and take a second look at it.  They are selling Waverly canvas fabrics for $3.97 per yard!  That is crazy!  So crazy, that I had to buy some.  So I picked out some fall colors and came home and whipped up these little tote bags.  :)

I did put some thick interfacing in them so that they would stand up on their own.  They're great for giving a little gift; you can put a card in there and some candies, a Thankful for You magnet or whatever else you choose.  So I made them for a craft fair that I was in.

One of the things that I love to do is go to flea markets and garage sales.  This past summer I picked up these cute little brown frames and they have been sitting on my craft desk waiting for something to go in them.  They're only an inch wide, so I had to find a little stamp that would fit in them.

I've made these Reese's Thanksgiving favors before, but they are easy and quick to make.  Using 2 bags of Resse's peanut candies, I made 42 party favors.   I'll be giving these out on Thanksgiving Day, for sure.
What things are you making this year for your fall crafting or Thanksgiving table?

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like... Fall!

Yesterday I challenged myself to make a fall-themed display frame.  I had bought some of these frames at Hobby Lobby a while back (okay, truthfully I bought a whole case of them!) and wanted to start making projects using the frames.

I offered a stamping class for the ladies to make this for their fall decor.  I used Fall Fest and For All Things stamp sets.  You can set these frames on a plate holder to display them and change out the pieces for different seasons or events.

What do you think?
