Colorful Hexies

Last week was my birthday and I had some friends over to see my new home.  It was a mad scramble to get things in order because we just moved in, but I loved having everyone at my house to celebrate my birthday with me!

I wanted to send each of my friends a handmade Thank You card to let them know how special that they are to me. :)  I made these cute hexie flower cards. I love the color scheme and how bright and cheery they are.  I used the Six Sided stamp set with the coordinating punch - my favorite kind of stamping! I found the idea for this card on Pinterest by Jeanna Bohanon.

I arranged the hexie flower pedals in different patterns.  Which one do you like the best?  Or doesn't it matter?

Mixing My Two Favorite Hobbies!

This week I had some Thank You cards to make for some special people in my life who do wonderful things for me.  I made this sewing themed card for my friend who loves to sew.  She makes a lot of projects using hexagons, one of the latest trends in sewing.

So I took out my Six-Sided stamp set and designed this adorable "hexie" card.  I used an old saying, "The fabric of friendship is stitched with love."

I just love the colors and how it came out.  What a great mixture of two of my favorite hobbies- sewing and stamping!
