This week I sent a card to my g-daughter for Spring. I used the older stamp set Fabled Friends. I chose the little ducks with their mother for the front of the card. I'm not sure which pack of designer papers that I got the yellow flowered print from, but it said Spring to me. I paired it with Highland Heather purple and then colored in the ducks. I cut them out and they are happy to bring Spring on this card. :)

Happy Spring!
Yes, it is finally spring here in upstate NY. How can I tell? The backyard is flooded because it's been raining for 2 solid days. Next week the grass will be green and we'll see flowers and buds on the trees. :)

More Flight and Airy Birds
After making three cards using the Flight and Airy designer papers from Sale-a-Bration, I decided that I just needed to make some cards using the cut out birds! Originally I had wanted to use Everyday Details Dies for the first few cards that I had made, but somehow I misplaced that new die set.
Definitely spring looking, I love these two cards. :)
Here is a card made using the rectangular cut out from that die set. This card has such a bright spring look to it. I think it can be used for pretty much anything. The Hello stamp is from the Garden Meadow set. This card is loosely based on a sample card from Jolanda Johnstone.
My final card (at least for today) is made using a portion of one of the designer papers. To highlight the saying, I made a small banner in Boho Blue and added the saying and a couple of the small flowers from Just My Type. There is also little doily behind the saying cut out from Fresh fresia cardstock. I finished it off with a double bow made with two different twines.

I Love the Succulents
I found out this week that these wonderful succulent stamps are retiring and won't be around for another year in the Stampin Up catalog. How sad! I think they are so versatile. I just want to put them everywhere. :)
I found this card idea on Pinterest (from Painted Orange blog) using the basket framelit from the Basket Builder dies and I just loved it. Of course, I had to buy the Basket Builder framelits to make this card! Ha ha.
Anyway, I just love how it came out. It looks like the basket of succulents are sitting on a shelf with a lace doily or tablecloth underneath. So pretty!
The second time that I made the card I used a green designer paper for the background. It gives more of a monochromatic look, whereas the first card looks a bit more country.
And how about his look? I used a striped peach and it makes the card look more playful. I just love them all. I'd even like to try making this card using some different color schemes.
Here are all three of them side by side. Which one do you like the best? The ladies who came to my stamping class this week loved making this card.
